Paramedics accused of lying in Worcester death

Last year Boston resident, Charles F. Rondeau, 48-years-old, was in the process of having a heart attack. His wife was at work, and went home as soon as she found out. When she arrived, two paramedics were helping her husband walk down three flights of stairs. Later at the emergency room, Mr. Rondeau was pronounced dead. Doctors said he had an “extensive anterior wall myocardial infarction,” which to use regular folk is a massive heart attack.

Apparently, when the paramedics helped Mr. Rondeau walk down the stairs they broke a serious rule. Mr. Rondeau's daughter got a copy of the written report from the two paramedics, and read where they said the patient was carried down the stairs. She called in and said that wasn't true because she was there and saw the whole thing. She never got a call back. So, the Rondeau family decided to take their case to a lawyer.

This in turn set off a four month state Department of Public Health investigation which uncovered WAY more violations.
