Woman allegedly hits guard with baby

A 26-year-old woman of Tennessee is being charged with child abuse and assault after she used her friend's baby to assault a security guard at Wal-Mart. Camilla Fields was holding the 2-month-old boy in a car seat when she swung it at the guard.

Fields was hiding in the bathroom pretending to change the baby's diaper when she was actually hiding some clothes she stole. The security guard confronted her, and then she hit the guard with the seat (with the baby inside) causing the drop from her hands. She picked the seat up and ran out of the store as the guard was chasing her, and she hit him again with the seat and then it fell to the ground landing with the baby's face down. She ran and left the baby behind who was now unconscious.

The baby was taken to the hospital is not seriously injured. Fields turned herself in later. The baby's mother, Stacey Cleaves, was outside during the incident. When police questioned her, she gave false information, and she's being charged with that at child neglect. She said Fields' name was Darrin and that Fields was the baby's aunt.

Next recalls underwear after complaints over 'Hitler image'

Next is a store in the U.K. much like the GAP, Banana Republic, or H&M. But when a customer bought a pair of underwear he looked at the graphics on it resembling a comic strip and saw an image that looked like Hitler saluting as planes passed above his head.

Next said the image was inspired by a picture of Lenin, the former Soviet Leader.

Next is pulling the 5,200 remaining pairs off their shelves. They should've thought about this before putting their product on the shelves in a country that was bombed by Hitler (even if the image wasn't him).

When the cops caught them, they found an 18-year-old woman half naked. Both her and her play mate, a 23-year-old male, are felony charges for malicious mischief and second-degree assault for hitting as many as 14 vehicles with rocks.

Woman accused of having sex with boy in Wal-Mart parking lot

A 30-year-old Northern California mother, Deborah Towe, is accused of having sex with at least three underage boys who were 15 to 16. There are 11 felony charges against her, but as always she pleaded not guilty.

She was ratted out by her daughter's friends. Two of her friends told their middle school vice principal that the mother of one of their friends was having sex with boys.

During the investigation, one boy admitted to having sex with Towe in the back seat of her car at a Wal-Mart parking lot, and she gave him alcohol. Another boy said that he had sex with Towe as well, and that she sent him sexually suggestive text messages and a photo to his cell. Later, they eventually had sex in her car at an elementary school parking lot. The third boy didn't admit to having sex with her, but he did admit to kissing and touching intimately in her house.

So, what was her reasoning behind all this madness? She enjoyed the attention she got from the boys and she wanted to protect her daughter from their affections.

Suicidal man pushed from bridge by onlooker

Chen Fuchao was pondering whether or not he should commit suicide by throwing himself off the Haizhu Bridge in the southern Chinese city Guangzhou. He had accumulated about 2 million yuan ($290,000) in debt.

While he was thinking, Lai Jiansheng, an onlooker went up to him, shook his hand, and pushed him off the bridge!

Fuchao ended up landing on an inflatable emergency air cushion that authorities laid out earlier. He sustained injuries to his spine and elbow, but otherwise he's ok. The 66-year-old Jiansheng said
I pushed him off because jumpers like Chen are very selfish. Their action violates a lot of public interest. They do not really dare to kill themselves. Instead, they just want to raise the relevant government authorities’ attention to their appeals.
If you ever contemplate this, make sure there are no angry onlookers or they might make the decision for you.

Rape victims forced to pay for evidence

This is just too despicable. The State of Texas is making rape victims pay for evidence. There's a little over $66 million in the coffers to help victims. The money is to pay for the rape kits that are performed at hospitals. Sometimes the police department will pick up part of the tab, and then the State picks up the rest.

However, that's not happening. These victims are forced to re-live their horrible experiences by being forced to pay for it.

Speed camera boss banned from driving

Tom Riall, 49, is head of Serco's home affairs division, one of Britain's biggest speed camera companies which has installed and managed speed cameras at more than 4,000 sites around Britain since 1992. So, you would think that this man would be careful with his speed right? Wrong. Apparently, this guy thinks he's above all that.

Cops clocked Riall doing 102.92mph. Riall was fined £300 (CAD $523.02) , £46 (CAD $80.16) towards prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £15 (CAD $26.14). He was also banned from driving after his third speeding offence in two years.

The timesonline has quote Riall as saying

“I accept the decision of the court. I recognise that speeding is not acceptable and regret what I did. My speed was excessive and I’ve made a full apology. I would like to make it clear that I do acknowledge and accept that my speed was excessive and the offence merits points on my driving licence. I would point out that a potential ban would be a significant punishment on me as an individual.”

Florida man charged with murder after baby thrown from car

Richard Anthony McTear Jr., 21, is being charged with first degree murder. What did he do? Well, as you saw in the headline, he threw his girlfriend's 3-month-old baby boy out of a moving car on the interstate in Florida.

Apparently, he went to Jasmine Bedwell's, 18, house in the wee hours of the morning and they got into an argument. He picked up the boy in his car seat, and threw him across the room causing him to fall out and fall to the concrete floor of the apartment. He then drove off and threw the baby out of his car.

When reporters asked him if he did it, all he could say was "it's a dirty game. A dirty game."

If he wants to play a dirty game, he's got one. He's going to prison (I'm hoping), and prisoners don't like people who hurt children. Personally, I think he should have the same treatment done to him as he did to the small child. Why waste tax payers money on keeping him alive in the "system?"

Corrections sergeant shocks kids with stun gun during prison visit

When it's "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day," parents will most likely show their kids where their desk is, let them sit in their chair, introduce them to their co-workers, take them out to lunch, or maybe even let them try to do some of the work their parents do. BUT, if you worked at a prison, would you take your daughter or son to work for a day or even a few hours? Not to mention zap them with 50,000 volts with a taser.

That's just what Franklin Correctional Institution Sgt. Walter Schmidt did. He wanted to show the kids what their parents do. Mind you, he did ask their parents, and seeing as how common sense didn't exist in this group of people, they said ok.

The children suffered burn marks on their arms, and one was taken to the hospital. Schmidt was fired after 14 years with the Department of Corrections, and rightfully so.

New beach shoes combine high heels and flippers

This isn't our usual post on Chewing the Fat, but when I came across this I had to post it.

When you go to the beach, you don't think of wearing a pair of these ugly shoes do you? I can understand wearing heels, but that's at the pool where there's concrete--solid ground to stand on. For me, give me a pair of flip-flops and I'll be happy. I can wear them in the water or out. No problem and no fuss.

I wonder if these really will be available to the public. I'm dying to know which celebrity is gonna be photographed wearing a pair, and then all the herds of followers will be spotted wearing them too.
