Killer cleaned murder weapon in dishwasher

Doug Mercereau a Staten Island fire marshal was murdered when he was shot three times in the face. The accused? His wife Janet Mercereau. Apparently, after cleaning up the mess, she put the Smith & Wesson 9mm in the dishwasher!

Of course, if she was a smart person, she'd know she'd get caught sooner or later. Doesn't she watch all the TV shows out there like Law & Order, or CSI? There's all kinds of cool forensic stuff that will tell the police anything and everything!

Man sells drugs in parking lot of police station

Just to be clear, I have no experience in this but it would seem to me that if you were going to sell drugs you DON'T do it in the parking lot of a police station. Either you're stupid or you've got some massive balls.

Anthony Sears of Cleveland, OH thought that the streets were too dangerous, so he sought a safer place to do his business. Sears was in a car in the parking lot when an off-duty cop noticed him. When he saw that the cop saw him, he jumped out of the car and ran down the street. Backup was called and the cops found Sears sitting on someone's front porch. He told the cops he was waiting for his girlfriend to pick him up. However, the owner of the house had no idea who Sears was.

Police found the gun and crack cocaine nearby. Sears admitted it's hard to stop selling drugs.

"I am not a user of crack since November, but the fast life of money is hard to give up," he said.

Cop robs bank, uses police vehicle as getaway car

Juergen Richter, a 55-year-old detective, from Germany robbed a bank without wearing a mask. He waved his policed-issued gun and drove off in his unmarked patrol car. He walked out with close to $12,000, but his image was caught on CCTV.

Did he think because his car was unmarked that he'd get away with it? Did he not think that banks have CCTV? I wonder if he wore his uniform with his name badge. Now THAT would be funny.

White House apologizes for low-flying plane

With 9/11 still fresh in the minds of Manhattan residents, Monday didn't seem like a photo-op to them. A Boeing 747 was flying low above the city with two fighter jets behind it. Now, if you didn't know any better, you'd be scared too? So, when the rest of us found out that it was a photo-op that had been pre-approved by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), needless to say they were a bit ticked off as well as the President.

Apparently, they were trying to update their file photos of Air Force One. They should have issued a statement/warning or something telling the people "hey, this isn't real so please don't freak."

Fire starts with spider chase

I can totally sympathize with people who have a deep hate for spiders. I grew up with poisonous ones and we learned to be careful. It didn't stop me from hating them though. I once made my little sister pay me money to kill one that was in her room! Although, I've never tried killing one with a lighter as a man from Portsmouth, England did.

He tried to kill a spider with a lighter. BUT there was a crack in the wall, so the flame ignited the material behind the wall. Soon after, flames were reaching their way to the roof. When firefighters arrived, they found the guy trying to tame the flames with a garden hose.

Paramedics accused of lying in Worcester death

Last year Boston resident, Charles F. Rondeau, 48-years-old, was in the process of having a heart attack. His wife was at work, and went home as soon as she found out. When she arrived, two paramedics were helping her husband walk down three flights of stairs. Later at the emergency room, Mr. Rondeau was pronounced dead. Doctors said he had an “extensive anterior wall myocardial infarction,” which to use regular folk is a massive heart attack.

Apparently, when the paramedics helped Mr. Rondeau walk down the stairs they broke a serious rule. Mr. Rondeau's daughter got a copy of the written report from the two paramedics, and read where they said the patient was carried down the stairs. She called in and said that wasn't true because she was there and saw the whole thing. She never got a call back. So, the Rondeau family decided to take their case to a lawyer.

This in turn set off a four month state Department of Public Health investigation which uncovered WAY more violations.
