We all see the signs at gas stations that you should NOT smoke while you're near the pumps. So, what makes you think you can do this at home? Everyone knows that it's the fumes that's combustible. So, you should not have any kind of fire anywhere near gas.
However, that didn't stop a Wisconsin man from doing it. The man threw his lit cigarette into a pile of clothes and cushions that were soaked with gas. The fire in his apartment forced his neighbors to evacuate their homes. He didn't even bother pulling the fire alarm! He just yelled "fire" a couple of times and then walked to the local police department to ask for help.
Genius!
