Suspect thought car was arrested

A Panama City man was pulled over after police clocked him driving at a high rate of speed. When the man finally pulled over in a bank parking lot, cops smelled a strong odor of alcohol. The man had a 12 ounce can of Bud Light in his car.

The man admitted that he had "maybe six beers" and instead of handing over his driver's license, he gave the cop his credit card. So, the cop decided to do some field sobriety tests, and no big surprise, the guy failed them. He blew a .228 on the Breathalyzer (which in most states the legal limit is .08).

Police were going to have the man's car towed, but the man objected. The policeman wrote "(The suspect) advised me that the vehicle did not know what it was doing and he did not understand why it was being arrested."

Bank robbers' getaway car runs out of gas

Two men from Daytona Beach have been arrested for robbing a bank. How did the cops catch them? Did they start a foot chase? Were there helicopters or infrared heat-seeking cameras being used? Nope. The robbers' car ran out of gas.

Randall Walker went into a Riverside National Bank and demanded money from the teller. Jason Dietrich was waiting for Walker outside in his Jeep Cherokee.

When the SUV ran out of gas, the two men abandoned it. So, how did the cops find them? They saw who the vehicle was registered to. Both are being held on $50,000 bail.

The boy was driving when he hit another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle is eight months pregnant. The woman wasn't injured but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

When the cops got there, they could smell the alcohol on Kegler. And of course, he was arrested. He's being charged with child neglect and allowing an unauthorized operator to drive his vehicle.

Florida man charged with murder after baby thrown from car

Richard Anthony McTear Jr., 21, is being charged with first degree murder. What did he do? Well, as you saw in the headline, he threw his girlfriend's 3-month-old baby boy out of a moving car on the interstate in Florida.

Apparently, he went to Jasmine Bedwell's, 18, house in the wee hours of the morning and they got into an argument. He picked up the boy in his car seat, and threw him across the room causing him to fall out and fall to the concrete floor of the apartment. He then drove off and threw the baby out of his car.

When reporters asked him if he did it, all he could say was "it's a dirty game. A dirty game."

If he wants to play a dirty game, he's got one. He's going to prison (I'm hoping), and prisoners don't like people who hurt children. Personally, I think he should have the same treatment done to him as he did to the small child. Why waste tax payers money on keeping him alive in the "system?"

Corrections sergeant shocks kids with stun gun during prison visit

When it's "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day," parents will most likely show their kids where their desk is, let them sit in their chair, introduce them to their co-workers, take them out to lunch, or maybe even let them try to do some of the work their parents do. BUT, if you worked at a prison, would you take your daughter or son to work for a day or even a few hours? Not to mention zap them with 50,000 volts with a taser.

That's just what Franklin Correctional Institution Sgt. Walter Schmidt did. He wanted to show the kids what their parents do. Mind you, he did ask their parents, and seeing as how common sense didn't exist in this group of people, they said ok.

The children suffered burn marks on their arms, and one was taken to the hospital. Schmidt was fired after 14 years with the Department of Corrections, and rightfully so.

Teacher accused of starving cats: 'I lost track of time'

Let me first say that when I lose track of time, I lose about a few hours while I'm at work or it might be a Saturday afternoon. The main culprit for me losing time is shopping. BUT, now that I have a dog to take care of, my world revolves around this little furry, energetic, bouncy, four-legged creature. That isn't the case with Allison Dinsmore, a teacher from Florida.

Dinsmore left her apartment and her two cats in early February (no exact date was given). She left food, water, and a clean litter box and she intended to return in a few days. Ok, that's fine. My cat back home can do that although she'll get mad if you're gone for a week. But by February 23, her apartment complex manager came knocking for rent money, but discovered her dead cats. A veterinarian determined that the cats were starved to death.

What was her excuse? She lost track of time. Now she's up for felony animal cruelty charges and which she should be!

Shoplifting suspects make it too easy for police to track them down

Two women in Port St. Lucie, Florida tried to shoplift about $200 worth from their local Wal-Mart. They were using the self-checkout line and only scanned about $70 worth. An employee noticed that their bags looked like it was much more than just $70. So, when the employee asked to see the receipt, the two women took off.

What helped police get them? One of the women left her recently developed photos in the cart. And guess what? It had her name and phone number on the envelope!

Man goes naked so he can be deported

A man in Florida decided to run down a street naked in hopes of being deported back to Mexico. He was drunk and got into a fight with his boyfriend. Cops were called in and told the man to leave so he could cool off. The man said he wanted to go to jail because he's an illegal alien, and would punch a cop if it meant he could go back to Mexico.

Usually Mexicans are coming into the U.S. illegally, but this one wants to go back? Couldn't he go back the way he came?

Is this woman for real?

A woman in Florida called 911 after she locked herself in the car. Yeah, locked herself in. Apparently she didn't think to pull up on the lock button when all the electrical stuff wouldn't work. Makes me wonder if this woman in blonde (no offense to the blondes that I know).

ShamWow guy in jail

We've all seen the annoying ShamWow commercials. The guy on there, Vince Shlomi was arrested last month for a felony. He met up with a prostitute in South Beach, Florida and things got heated. Shlomi forked over a grand to the prostitute. He went to kiss her and apparently she bit his tone. He then punched her so she'd let go.

I guess maybe he's really not all that interested in what little career he has?

Stink-free underwear

Textile experts at Japan Women's University in Tokyo have come up with stink-free underwear. A Japanese astronaut is testing them out during his stay at the International Space Station. The line is called J-ware.

Apparently, the underwear kills bacteria, absorbs water, insulates the body and dries quickly. They also are flame-resistant and anti-static. Ok, so why does the underwear need to absorb water? Also, why do they need to be flame-resistant? Those two points aren't working for me.

The manufacturers plan to make the underwear available to NASA and other space stations. A commercial line is also in the works.

Maybe the underwear will come in handy after a night of Mexican or East Indian food. The kid in Florida sure could have used a pair!

Farting on a school bus can get you kicked off

An eighth-grader at the Bill Duncan Excel Center in South Lakeland, Florida was suspended from riding the school bus for three days after a farting incident.

The eighth-grader says it wasn't him. He says that it was the kid in front of him. However, the bus driver claims that the smell was so pungent he couldn't breathe.

Has it come down to policing the body functions of students now? What if he had beans, Mexican, or East Indian food?

"I'm stealing vodka, call the cops"

A Vero Beach, Florida man walked up to a liquor store counter to report a crime — the one he was about to commit.

Michael Anthony Sessions, 49, grabbed a bottle of Gilbey’s Vodka from the liquor store and told the cashier he wasn’t paying for it.

“I’m stealing this and going around back to drink it,” Sessions told the woman Thursday. “Call the cops.”

An Indian River County Sheriff’s deputy found Sessions in the woods behind the store, drinking the $16 bottle of vodka. The deputy charged Sessions with retail theft and took him to the Indian River County Jail, where he remained Monday in lieu of a $500 bail.

Driving a car with three wheels is so subtle

Every time I watch COPS, it seems like they're ALWAYS in Clearwater, Florida. Seriously, they're in Clearwater at least once in every episode!

A guy who was driving a car with three wheels was caught by the police, and his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit! Did he think that driving a car with three wheels is normal?

This story explains why COPS is always in Clearwater.

CALL 911! McDonald's is out of chicken!!!!

This is an old news story, but it's still funny.

A woman in Florida was mad that her local McDonald's was out of Chicken McNuggets, so she actually called 911! She didn't call once, but THREE TIMES!!

This is what she told the cops when they arrived:
This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one. I called 911 because I couldn't get a refund, and I wanted my McNuggets.
Maybe she should've asked for a Happy Meal?

Prostitute tries to run from po-po's

I am a TOTAL fan of COPS and it always makes me laugh to see the criminals trying to run from the po-po's. You know and THEY know that they'll get caught one way or another. It's still fun to watch, right?

In Florida, a prostitute tried to solicit oral sex to an undercover cop. When he told her who he was, she tried to run and fell into a glass door. I wish I could have seen this on COPS.
